The Scottsdale Football Club will commence pre-season training next Tuesday November 24th, and the session will feature two prized recruits.
Former North Launceston premiership players and brothers, Lochie and Connor Young have been signed by the club in a huge boost to the club's playing list.
Lochie Young (24) had a year with the club in 2017, and will return as assistant coach to Ethan Petterwood, while his brother Connor (22) a dual State League premiership player has been earmarked as a key defender.
"I was really keen to get Lochie and Connor on board. They bring experience and importantly will provide leadership and that's what I believe is going to be crucial for us to gain success," Ethan Petterwood said.
Club president Cameron Moore said the club needed to bolster its playing ranks to remain competitive.
"All our club's premiership teams since 1964, both men and women, have included recruits from outside the region, and we need to continue that tradition," he said.
"The starting point must always be getting good people, and both Lochie and Connor certainly tick that box."
The club is currently interviewing candidates for coaches of Under 18s, Reserves and Junior teams.
Cabel Hall has already been reappointed as the senior women's coach after leading the team to the 2020 and 2017 premierships.
The club's annual meeting will be held on Friday December 4.
