The Twilight Trots is known for being a family friendly event with attractions that provide entertainment for all ages.
The best bit, it’s all free.
Organiser Pam Krushka said the annual mini trot races will be tearing up the track with ten entries accepted from across the state.
“These are all the young and up and coming drivers of the future; this event is being sponsored by Butler Racing Team,” Mrs Kruska said.
Favourite band the Smokin’ Elmores will be returning for a night of live music, kicking off after the last race and will keep you grooving through until 10pm.
“We are a highly versatile four-piece cover band based in Northern Tasmania, offering multiple styles of music to suit your entertainment needs,” band member Allan Crawford said.
The Smokin’ Elmores are known for playing great pub rock, blues and all the popular tunes including some classic hits that you forgot that you knew.
As well as musical entertainment on the night, there will be a range of food options available, with Rotary selling hot food.
There will also be a number of food vans on the evening, including a coffee van, the Cottage Bakery, Cheesecake Baculo, Ellesmere Providore and many more options to tickle the taste buds.
“There will be more alternative food options to the normal so that will be nice for attendees.”
Patrons will be able to use eftpos at the bar.
Mrs Krushka explained that inside the race program there are a great range of prizes up for grabs too.
“The programs will only be available at the caravan this year; we really encourage patrons to fill out the entry form inside the program and return it to the caravan to go into the draw.
“There is really great cash prizes and fuel vouchers from Lowe’s Petroleum BP.”
The Scottsdale Lions Club will be on the gates and the Tamar Valley Rural Youth will be assisting.
When the event is all said and done, the handy helpers of the local Little Athletics Club will clean the ground on Saturday morning.
Please do your bit to help by putting rubbish in the bin and remember, no glass.
“We are hoping for good weather, can’t wait to see you there!”
