Work has recommenced on the Winnaleah Memorial Hall revamp project with spring bringing new opportunities for outdoor painting.
Work originally commenced a few months ago but was halted when the concrete surface appeared to be too cold for the undercoat paint to stick and dry and subsequently it was postponed.
Mayor Greg Howard said money had been left over from a 2019 budget allocation to allow for the extra community project.
“$12,000 was allocated in the budget to repair the fence adjacent to the hall last year, there was funds left over and that money carried over and will be used to give the hall a fresh coat of paint,” he said.
Contractor Darius Sutton will be using colours similar to the current cream.
Works restarted on Monday morning and is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
