The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic is looking to double its size with a significant extension proposed at the site on Charles Street, Scottsdale.

Alterations to the site include a large clinic expansion, a relaxation of the rear boundary and a new design/layout of car parking and pedestrian walkway.

The project includes taking the existing floor space of 276.35m2 and adding an additional area of 568.4m2, with an estimated cost of $450,000.

Owners Colleen and Kyle Stewart said the building was originally designed to hold two vets and they currently have seven vets working at the clinic.

“We are at capacity and there is a great need to expand so we can improve on our services across the board,” Colleen said.

“It’s really exciting and a long time coming.

“The build will include a new purpose built surgery, more consulting rooms, lab area, space for dental and x-rays, larger dog resting ward and car parking spaces.

“The new design will flow really well; we are just looking forward to being able to deliver greater services here in the North-East.”

Plans show the current building will be fully converted into an open office, meeting room, lunchroom, larger laundry, dispensary, more toilets, larger waiting area and reception.

Works is expected to get underway once approvals are received.
