Sage advice from our senior residents

We asked residents of Aminya about the most important thing they’ve learned in their life…

August 28, 2019

PHYLLIS BAKER - I think honesty is the most important thing –if you’re honest you know who you are. Love is important too. I’ve been married for 70 years and we’ve never had an argument in all those years. You’ve just got to give and take a little.

NETTIE WAGNER - I think it’s really important to listen to and pay attention to the elderly people of the community. Schooling is very important and my advice to young people would be to make the most of that opportunity.

MARGARET HENDERSON - Family is a wonderful thing to have. You should make the most of the time you have with them.

ANDRIS SKRABE - Be talkative and talk common sense not nonsense. Also keeping a routine is very important.
