SCOTTSDALE Police attended a vehicle hit and run incident on Winnaleah Road, near the Main Street intersection on Saturday night May 4.
Sergeant Andrew Hanson said the incident occurred between 11.30pm the night before and 8am that morning.
“A vehicle has crashed into the side of a parked van during that period.”
“There was a substantial impact which pushed the van around three metres backwards and destroyed the front and side,” Sergeant Hanson said.
Whilst the offending driver took off without alerting the owners, the vehicle they were driving left behind specific evidence that will be used to help find the perpetrator.
“The offending vehicle is green in colour - known through paint transfer on the van,” Sergeant Hanson added.
“If anyone sees or known of a damaged green vehicle, we encourage details to be passed on to us please.”
