A short haired border collie has been reported stolen yesterday afternoon from inside the owner’s car at approximately 1pm.
The car was parked outside the Cottage Bakery on Victoria Street Scottsdale, owner Sandra Willett and her daughter Annie had coffee at the bakery before going to Woolworths.
Upon their return, no more than thirty minutes later, they found their dog had been taken from inside the locked car.
“Mum's car window had been forced open, her mirror pushed around, and Teddy gone from her locked car,” Annie said.
“He’s two and a half years old and has an amazing history in the car. He had a big bucket of water, toys etc and doesn't even get out when mum leaves the door open.
“So, we have no reason to believe he made a run for it or forced the window open himself.”
The owners are in shock and desperate to locate him.
“He is very friendly and would go with anyone if they were friendly to him.
“He's a short haired border collie, medium to large in size, very fluffy and white, Registered and microchipped. I feel like he would be very distinct if someone saw him in a yard or in someone's car.”
“We are really hoping that someone might have seen something and can help.”
The incident has been reported to police. If you have any information please phone Annie Willett on 0472 517 567.
